Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PlaceMint (the "Service"), operated by No Labels Necessary LLC ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. What PlaceMint does

PlaceMint helps independent artists discover platforms, content series, and curators that fit their sound and career stage. We surface third-party platforms and provide tools to track outreach. We are not affiliated with the platforms we list and do not guarantee any outcome from contacting them.

2. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Beta access

During the beta period, access is granted via invite code with a cap of 200 beta accounts. Beta features are provided "as is" — they may change, break, or be removed without notice. We may end the beta at any time.

4. Payment and refunds

After the beta, paid access is processed through Stripe. By subscribing you authorize the recurring charge described at checkout. You can cancel any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds for unused portions of a billing period except where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, copy, or republish the platform database in bulk.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited or harassing messages to third parties listed on PlaceMint.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to bypass authentication or rate limits.
  • Submit fraudulent payment information or evade beta-cap restrictions.
  • Use automated tools to interact with the Service except where we provide an official API.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you submit — artist profile, project descriptions, outreach notes. By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host and display it to operate the Service. You can delete your content at any time by removing it or closing your account.

7. Third-party platforms

PlaceMint surfaces public information about third-party platforms (Instagram pages, YouTube series, blogs, playlists, etc.) for your reference. We do not control those platforms, their availability, or whether they respond to your outreach. Pricing estimates are informed guesses and may not reflect what a platform charges you. Always verify terms directly with the platform.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including the PlaceMint name, mark, scout reads, and matching logic, is owned by No Labels Necessary LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law. We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own artist-promotion purposes.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee a specific number of placements or any business outcome.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, No Labels Necessary LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if continued operation poses a risk to the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will continue to apply.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we'll notify you by email or in-app notice before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
